Venues
* Home Studio - Our beautiful studio has been fitted out with sprung floor, mirrors, student waiting area. Unit 112 / 14 Loyalty Road, North Rocks (Upper level of complex - park in visitor bays) Take the upper driveway before the round-about on Loyalty Road.
* Carlingford Uniting Church Hall Shirley Street, Carlingford - Our two halls are air-conditioned. Short walk to Carlingford Library and green spaces.
* Carlingford Scout Hall Boundary Road, Carlingford - Our Irish and tap classes are run from the Scout Hall. Tarkett flooring and air-conditioning. Located behind Carlingford Library and adjacent greens spaces.
* North Rocks Community Church, 136 North Rocks Road, North Rocks. Air-conditioned space. On-site parking available.
* Cherrybrook Uniting Church - Irish Monday afternoon / Pennant Hills Baptist Church hall - Little Gems / Tiny Shamrocks Tuesday Morning
Safety at the Hall
Students must have parental supervision prior to their class starting.
Students need to be picked up from the hall after class. Do not drop off or collect students in your car from the turning circle at the church hall and please do not park in the driveway.
Loyalty Road - please park only in designated carspaces for Unit 112 or use the visitor car spaces on the right hand side as you drive in the complex. Please supervise children at all times. Overflow carpark available in the basement code: 2017
No parking in driveway of scout hall please
COVID-19 Policy
For students - please arrive dressed and ready for class; please use hand sanitiser which will be supplied at each venue; please do not arrive early for class or enter the studio until your class starting time; no bags in the studio; students to bring and use their own water bottle; no eating inside the studio. Please do not attend class if you are unwell.
Child Protection Policy Statement
CSOD values young people and children as being a vital part of the CSOD and desires to see them grow, mature and be challenged in a healthy and safe environment. CSOD is committed to ensuring safe environments for children and young people. We recognise our responsibility to safeguard the welfare of all children and young people by a commitment to best practice procedures which protects them.
The primary consideration in planning any activity for children will be the overriding importance of ensuring that it contributes to their well-being and does not expose them to harm, including the risk of injury, physical or emotional abuse.
This policy applies to our paid staff, volunteers, students or anyone working on behalf of the dance school.
Photography
Photos and videos may be taken of the students to be used for promotional material. If you do not wish for your child to be used by the CSOD, please send an email requesting this to suzanne@csod.dance. CSOD strives to adhere to the Royal Academy of Dance’s Policies and Procedures on Child Safety and Social Media.
Dance Costumes
The CSOD has a costume hiring service for students. Costumes are used in exams, eisteddfods, Irish competitions and in the concert at the end of the year. Each year costume hire money is used to purchase new and exciting costumes for all students.
