ASS. DIP. ADA (JAZZ AND TAP), RST ADA, RAD ADVANCED 2

Bec has been dancing with Carlingford School of Dance since 2004 – where she has developed a strong passion for dance. During her time dancing at CSOD she has completed ADA Jazz and Tap exams, and RAD ballet exams; as well as dancing in several eisteddfods and performances. Bec has completed Elementary Teaching Levels with ADA achieving Honours with Distinction, in 2018 she completed her RAD Advanced 2 Ballet exam and, most recently in 2020, she completed the RAD Repertoire Level 3, with Distinction.

Bec attended Newtown High School of the Performing Arts, where she studied Dance and Classical Ballet for her HSC. In her time at Newtown she was involved in many performances and had the opportunity to learn from esteemed choreographers and industry professionals. Bec was nominated for the HSC Dance Callbacks with her Major Performance.

In 2018 and 2019, Bec attended the prestigious Rockettes Summer Intensive in New York City! Here, she received training from the Rockettes themselves, and learnt & performed Rockettes choreography in the final showcase. Whilst in New York City she also attended open classes at Broadway Dance Center. Bec has also successfully auditioned twice for the Joffrey Ballet School in NYC. Back home in Sydney she likes to further her training by attending open classes with Australian choreographers such as Sophie Holloway and Michael Dameski.

Bec travelled with CSOD to the USA in 2011, 2014 and 2017, and performed at Disneyland and Universal Studios; as well as attending workshops at Millennium Dance Center and Abbey Lee Dance Company.

Bec started as an assistant teacher at CSOD in 2013 and since then her passion for dance and teaching has grown as she’s been able to encourage students in their love for dance.

Bec has also recently graduated from Macquarie University with a Bachelor of Marketing and Media.

Through my dance training at CSOD I have experienced several opportunities that wouldn’t have been possible if I had not been taught in an encouraging, inspiring and nurturing environment that focuses on dance technique, performance quality and, most importantly; a love of dance. I hope to pass on the same to students that I teach. I adore coming to class each week to work with such talented, and bright, young dancers. Their determination and hard work inspires me to ensure I provide the best dance experience for them.
